Chapelle Charlemagne
New Winery Opening Spring 2019
Emma Holman
Chapelle Charlemagne Vineyards is located in the rolling hills of Flint Hill’s Eastside. The 60-acre estate includes 10 acres of hand pruned vines planted in seven distinct blocks. The vineyard was planted in 1995, and a new block of Petit Verdot was planted in 2016. We have two acres of Chardonnay, two acres of Cabernet Franc, two acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, two acres of Vidal Blanc, and two acres of Petit Manseng.
We keep yields low to guarantee the highest quality fruit possible and to ensure the health and longevity of our vines. We focus on producing wines that reflect the unique character of the vineyard. South-facing hillsides, Mineral soil, warm sunny days define the flavor of our grapes. We take a minimalist approach at the winery to ensure Chapelle Charlemagne wines remain as complex as the natural environment from which they come.
