Grace Estate Winery

Mount Juilet Farm Vineyard Crozet

Grace Estate Winery was established in 2013 with the mission to create wine that exhibited the unique aspects of our Mount Juliet Vineyard. Now more than 20 years after its initial planting, our vineyard yields unsurpassed quality with each harvest, exemplifying the terroir of the Monticello region.

The Wines

All Grace Estate wines are made from grapes grown on site at Mount Juliet Farm in Crozet, Virginia, near Charlottesville. The vineyards, as old as 25th leaf, are planted on various soils, and are between elevations of 750-1,000 ft.  We grow 12 grape varieties, including Viognier, Chardonnay, Petit Manseng, Sauvignon Blanc, Vidal Blanc, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Tannat, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chenin Blanc.

The Farm Winery

As a family-owned business, Grace Estate celebrates the influential and elaborate history of the Grace family. From the Medieval period to the Industrial Revolution to today, the Graces have been a pioneering family. With Grace Estate Winery, John and Lola Grace look to carry that spirit into this industry.

At Grace Estate, we provide a unique hospitality experience. Whether you’re enjoying wine and music in our modern tasting room, taking a walk through our trailblazing vineyard, or experiencing the breathtaking view from our Estate mansion, we hope you are drawn in by the spirit of this place, and return again less as a customer and more as a member of our family. Cheers!

What is Meritage?

This history of the use of the word Meritage in labeling wines really is fascinating. The brainchild of a group of American vintners, who wanted a way to identify and promote American wines that used the same grapes as those used in...

    Winery Review: Paradise Springs

When I am in the mood for good wine but not in the mood to drive, Paradise Springs is my answer. Not only is it close to DC (it's actually the closest winery to DC), but the wines are extraordinary! In fact, five of their wines won gold...
