Big Band Bash Benefitting Friends of the Rappahannock at DuCard Vineyards
DuCard Vineyards
Put on Your Dancing Shoes for a Big Band Bash Benefiting Friends of the Rappahannock!
Join us on the lawn at DuCard for an unforgettable afternoon of live music, great food, and local wine—all to support the vital work of Friends of the Rappahannock (FOR).
FOR, our region’s leading environmental nonprofit, is facing a major challenge with the loss of millions in federal funding that powers their mission to act as the voice and active force for the Rappahannock River through advocacy, restoration, and education. They plant thousands of trees in Madison County and beyond every year (including through our joint Sipping for Saplings giveaway!)
They also had plans—now on hold – to build an outdoor education classroom to provide hands-on environment education for our kids and grandkids, including a River Explorers camp for 5th-7th graders on the banks of the Robinson River here in Madison (check out https://riverfriends.org/education/ for more information on FOR programs)
So, we’re throwing a classic DuCard-style summer party to help keep their incredible local work going strong! Together we can go a long way toward funding this important and unique outdoor environmental classroom
