Just in time for autumn leaf change Muse Vineyards is announcing the opening of our new wine trail. On Saturday & Sunday, November 3rd & 4th, at 2:00 p.m. owner Robert Muse will lead walkers on a 1.8 mile round-trip through vineyards, along the banks of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River and through wooded areas connecting the property's four principal growing areas: The Main Vineyard, the Lower Vineyards and the Top and Middle Vineyards. Along the way he will comment on aspects of each vineyard's geology and physical contours as they relate to wine production. He will also describe a year in the life of a vineyard, starting with winter pruning and a brief display of pruning techniques.

The Muse Vineyards farm's fifty acres have been in uninterrupted agricultural production since 1790. Vines were first planted in 2005. Along the wine trail are original structures, including a two-hundred year old spring house with a gallon a minute production at a constant temperature of 55 degrees.
