The culinary team at the Inn and Tavern at Meander presents a multi-course chef’s tasting menu; each course thoughtfully paired with wines from DuCard Vineyards. Savor seasonal flavors inspired by the foothills of the Blue Ridge, where local ingredients and fine wine come together in perfect harmony.

First Couse:
Smoked Salmon & Potato Pancake with dill cream and roe
Paired with 2023 Tana Chardonnay
Second Course:
Roasted Monkfish with braised fennel, capers, fig brown butter and fried leeks
Paired with 2022 Signature Viognier
Third Course:
Radicchio & Frisee Salad with toasted hazelnuts, shaved smoked gouda, red wine poached pear and white balsamic vinaigrette
Paired with 2021 Merlot (VinePair’s 20 Best Merlots for 2025)
Fourth Course:
Duck Confit with saffron couscous, pickled pearl beets, Medjool dates and sage butter
Paired with 2022 Petit Verdot
Fifth Course:
Beef Tenderloin with horseradish celery root puree, tarragon, yellow pepper emulsion, and roasted fingerling potatoes
Paired with 2023 Cabernet Franc Reserve (2025 VA Governor’s Cup Gold Medal)
Sixth Course:
Hazelnut Flourless Chocolate Cake with passion fruit crème anglaise
