2018 Viognier

85% Viognier, 15% Petit Manseng

While this Viognier has the classic varietal nose of apricots and peaches it is much more reminiscent of a Chardonnay than our previous vintage, perhaps because of all the rain in 2018.
This one will appeal even to those who do not like Viognier!
Color: Clear, golden wheat
Nose: round, caramel, hazelnut, peach, lemon, honeysuckle, ripe apricot
Mouth: beautiful round attack, long, well-balanced with a slightly salty finish, same aromas as in the nose, dominated by caramel and hazelnut

2016 Bluestone Viognier

Virginia's Signature White Wine

Fermented mostly in acacia barrels which is less sweet than oak and helps lighten the weighty-ness of Viognier. This vintage is beautifully dense fruit flavors and finishes dry. one of our best wines to go with a meal.

We are located in Southwest Virginia off Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 136.  We are the 63rd winery in Virginia. Our vineyards were first planted in 1995 and our first crush occurred in 1999. The winery opened in 2000 with a Viognier.
