30 minutes from downtown Richmond, and 35 minutes from Williamsburg, located just off Route 5 and the Capital Bike Trail, Upper Shirley Vineyards is ensconced in a rural wonderland. The estate boasts history and scenic beauty on an epic scale and an embarrassment of culinary riches—bottomland produce, fresh-caught seafood—and world-class wines made from our own estate-grown grapes. 

Paul and Loretta Briedé of Winchester, Virginia, established the Briedé Family Vineyards in 2013. They envisioned creating a vineyard using sustainable practices to grow healthy, flavorful grapes. The vineyard is a group effort of the Briedé family.

Wine country in Virginia is dotted with cute and cozy tasting rooms that ooze comfort and warmth on cold winter days. Get out of your cramped house or apartment and relax by the fireplace in one of these super cozy tasting rooms.

Prince Michel Vineyard and Winery, one of the east coast’s oldest and largest wineries, is passionate about great wine and a great wine experience.  It doesn’t matter if you can only visit us through our website or come to our main winery and one of our off-site tasting rooms.  It is always our goal to make your experience with us exceptional.
