Wine Education & Exploration Event of Petit Verdot at DuCard Vineyards
Do you love Petit Verdot? So do we! It’s not easy to find in single varietal bottlings and there’s a reason for that. But things are changing and the “little green one” is stepping onto center stage. Let’s sip and discuss.
Petit Verdot translates from French as “little green one”. Used as blending grape in Bordeaux to lend color and richness to blends, this best supporting actor is taking the stage in its own right. A growing number of producers around the world, including Virginia, are exploring ways to bring its best qualities to the forefront as a varietally labeled wine. Whether flying solo or as part of a blend, it’s PV’s time to shine.
We will hold two sessions: 12pm and again at 3:00pm. Small bites will accompany the wines, and wines will be available for purchase at the end of each session.
Session price: $75 per person (Wine Club discounts apply, Email Beth for WC reservations), advance reservation required, and space is limited.
Purchase tickets for the 12:00 pm session HERE.
