Michael Shaps Winery

Internationally recognized winemaker Michael Shaps produces high-quality small lot wines from various vineyards around Virginia. Michael Shaps also manages Virginia's largest contract winemaking operation.

In addition, Michael owns and operates a winery in Burgundy, France and offers tastings of his French wines in the Tasting Room at both the winery and the Wineworks Extended location. At Michael Shaps Winery visitors glimpse a view into a multi-faceted winery operation where the focus is on quality production with a rustic, industrial feel.

Known for his innovation in the industry, Michael introduced the "bag in box" to Virginia wine consumers and most recently keg wines and refillable growlers available at the new Wineworks Extended location.
