Bent, Broken, Smashed, and Eroded: A Billion Years of Geologic History

Virginia Naturalist Speaker Series at DuCard Vineyards

“Bent, Broken, Smashed, and Eroded: A Billion Years of Geologic History in the Old Rag Mountain Area, Virginia”. Geologist Dr. Robert Finley, will describe the complex and fascinating geologic history of the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Continents crashing, oceans opening and closing, and what we know (and don’t know) about the landscape we live on that has formed over hundreds of millions of years. There is no charge for this event but please pre-register for the talk by emailing marty@ducardvineyards.com. The first 10 people to pre-register will get a free glass of wine so don’t forget to email Marty!
