Situated at the scenic gateway to the Rockfish Valley along Route 151, Valley Road Vineyards invites you to experience a quintessential Virginia winery that beautifully blends tradition, hospitality, and award-winning wines. Our 15-acre Afton campus offers more than just wine—it’s a feast for the senses. As you step onto the property, you’re greeted with commanding views of the Blue Ridge, giving our guests a sense of both grandeur and tranquility. The Monticello Viticultural Area, known for its ideal growing conditions and rich winemaking history, is home to our carefully tended vines, producing exceptional fruit that reflects the unique qualities of the region. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or new to Virginia wines, Valley Road Vineyards promises a memorable experience in one of Virginia’s most celebrated wine regions.

The SIP Tasting Room: An Invitation to Discover

Our tasting room, aptly named “SIP,” is the heart of Valley Road Vineyards. Open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., SIP offers a comfortable yet refined setting where you can enjoy a variety of carefully crafted wines. We proudly feature a lineup of fifteen varietals and blends, including our Gold Medal-winning 2014 Petit Verdot—a standout among Virginia wines. With a Classic Tasting of six wines for just $10.95, you’ll have the chance to explore a range of flavors, from bold reds to crisp whites, each showcasing the distinctive characteristics of the Monticello area.

For groups of six or more, we offer an elevated tasting experience with a reservation. At $15 per person, our group tastings allow you and your friends to enjoy our wines in a more personalized and intimate setting. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to guide you through each pour, sharing stories behind the wines and the vision that drives Valley Road Vineyards.
